This website is operated by Able Removals Pty Ltd (“Able Removals”, “we”, “us”), a family-owned removals and storage company based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. We have been moving households and businesses since 1988.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of this website and to online enquiries (including the quote wizard, volume calculator, and contact form). They are not a signed removal or storage contract.

By browsing or using this site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

You should be 18 or older, or acting for a business that is legally able to enter into a removals or storage arrangement. If you submit an enquiry on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have authority to do so.

You may use this site for lawful purposes: learning about our services, estimating volume, and requesting a quote. Please do not misuse the site — including attempting to disrupt it, scrape it aggressively, submit false or harmful content, or use it for unlawful activity.

We may update content, features, or availability of the site from time to time without notice. Website copy is general information and may not cover every situation.

The volume calculator and quote wizard are planning tools. The figures they produce, and any PDF we email you, are an estimate or a summary of what you told us. They are not an automatic contract, a fixed price, or a guaranteed booking.

Final pricing and whether we can take the job depend on our review of your details — addresses, access, inventory, dates, packing needs, and any clarification or site visit we may need. Inventory you enter is a guide; the crew may find more (or less) on the day.

You are responsible for giving accurate contact details, collection and delivery addresses, dates, inventory, and access information (stairs, lifts, parking, long carries, narrow roads, and similar).

If details were wrong or incomplete, we may need to revise the price, the timing, or whether we can proceed. Extra labour, a larger vehicle, waiting time, or a return trip caused by inaccurate information may be charged in addition to the original estimate, after we have discussed it with you where reasonably possible.

A move, packing job, or storage period is only confirmed when we have agreed terms with you in writing. That may be by email, WhatsApp, or your written acceptance of a quote we have issued.

Submitting the website form, receiving an automated PDF, or chatting on WhatsApp does not by itself book a date or lock a price.

Depending on the job, we may provide residential moves, commercial and office moves, packing and unpacking, storage, and long-distance removals within South Africa. Descriptions on this website are general. What we actually do for you is what we confirm in the written quote or booking.

We do not offer scheduled line-haul freight or self-storage cube products through this website.

Where we mention goods-in-transit cover or insurance on this site, it is a general description only. Limits, exclusions, excesses, and how to claim are set out on the written quote or the applicable policy — not in website marketing copy.

Please ask us before you confirm a job if you need higher cover, cover for particular items, or clarity on what is excluded. Valuable or fragile items should be declared in writing.

If we store your goods, access, notice periods, charges, and what happens if storage fees remain unpaid will be set out in the storage booking we send you. This website is not a full warehousing contract.

In outline: stored goods remain subject to our reasonable warehouse rules; we need notice before you collect; and unpaid charges may affect release of goods, as allowed by South African law and the written storage terms.

If you are a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, nothing in these Terms limits rights that the Act says cannot be limited. That includes rights that apply to the quality of services and to information you are entitled to receive.

These website Terms do not replace any cooling-off or other rights that may apply to a particular booking under the CPA or other law.

The Able Removals name, logos, website design, text, and images on this site are owned by us or used with permission. You may not copy, reuse, or redistribute site content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent, except for ordinary personal use or fair dealing allowed by law.

How we collect and use personal information from quote and contact forms is explained in our Privacy Policy. By submitting an enquiry, you acknowledge that policy.

We take care with the information on this site, but we do not warrant that every page is complete, current, or free of minor errors. Calculator outputs depend on the details you enter.

To the extent permitted by South African law, Able Removals is not liable for loss arising solely from your use of website content, calculator estimates, quote PDFs that have not been confirmed as a booking, or temporary unavailability of the site.

This section does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for gross negligence, and consumer protections that cannot be excluded.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised Terms for future use of the website.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes arising from your use of this website are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, without limiting any consumer rights you may have.
